Probably tastes like Pledge dusting spray. Bleh! I just puked in my mouth a little bit at the thought of it.

Hey guys, what are the seven categories? The contest website lists category 1-7 but all 23 styles of beer plus mead and cider are accepted.

The NEPA Conical Cup 2015 is officially registered and paid up with BJCP/AHA. I'm not sure what kind of approval process that needs to go through on their end, but its been submitted.

I think we need to fix the categories a bit... and allow more entries. I think we need to accept pretty much all styles.

I'm OK with whatever is in the best interest for the group and if I have conflicts with dates, I'll do my best to work around them and contribute what I can. The only thing I know we were thinking at the last meeting was what ever we decide this year, we'll stick with for future years. Kinda of like "We will have the Conical Cup the 1st Sunday of November every year" or whatever.

The 10/3,4 is the only weekend I have open in October and the only Saturday I have to hunt. I will not be giving that up for anything. That whole time period will be difficult for me to spare a weekend so just assume I'm out. Do what works for most and I'll help out when/if I can. Sunday 10/4 would work for me.

I'm open on the date. 10/17 works fine for me.

It really didn't seem like anyone cared one way or another at the meeting. The 3rd is also the first day of archery. So the 17th might just be a better date.

I am away for the week from 09-26 until 10-03 I heard 10-3 was picked as the date for the conical cup. I will not be able at all to help the whole week before and will not be able to make the event that day. If it is set in stone then so be it :)

Some options to consider:
1. Move it to 10-17 or 10-18 (I would be available to help setup the week before)
2. move it to the Sunday 10-4 Then I could at least judge. Still wouldn't be much help the week before.
3. we can judge the beers a few weeks earlier - and just to an awards ceremony on the 3rd. or something like that.

Thoughts?

Below is a list of dates that work best for me:

09/05/15
09/19/15
10/03/15
10/17/15
10/31/15 - Halloween
11/14/15
11/28/15

I really don't care what date we set, however these dates will allow me to dedicate a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday to the event. If it is on one of the other weekends I'll only be able to commit Saturday and Sunday due to my work schedule or have to take a weeks vacation.
