Pretty cool. But for brewing purposes wort should be cooled to room temperature before testing. The room temperature measurement is the standard metric for mash pH and submersing the probe at mash temperatures will ruin it.
You can get a tds meter for <$20.
The DO meter would be interesting for testing levels of oxygenated wort. But I'm pretty sure you can get a meter for less than the price of the probe for this gadget.
I use the Milwaukee 101. It's very accurate, easy to use, and cheap. $80 on Amazon right now. That's dirt cheap for a very good meter!

Came across the PH meter by chance.
